A Bit of Insight from Bit.ly

While presenting at the national Advanced Technology Education Principal Investigators Conference, our good friend and video partner Dave Sweeney had the pleasure of sitting in on a keynote presentation delivered by Hillary Mason, Chief Scientist at Bitly. In his blog, he shares his recent experience with us. Hillary Mason discussed the usefulness of Bitly and all of the websites’ key benefits, which range from the popular link shortening feature to the ways Bitly can track and collect information from clicks on their links.  Along with presentation on Bitly, social media was also addressed with a few relevant and important notes to consider, such as understanding that not one person’s social experience is the same and how to effectively reach a broad audience online.
